Boston Local Food Festival

For one spectacular day each year, SBN transforms the Rose Kennedy Greenway and the City of Boston into the nation's largest local & sustainable food hub! Boston Local Food Festival is a free outdoor festival that showcases farmers, local restaurants, food trucks, specialty food producers, fisher folks, and organizations focusing on healthy food and fitness from New England. The festival also features lively chef & DIY demos, a Seafood Throwdown competition, diverse music and performances, family fun zone and more.

Festival goers learn about the benefits of sustainably grown and produced food, shop the market, eat delicious local food, participate in fun, educational activities and exhibits, engage with top local chefs and enjoy local music. Themed “Healthy Local Food for All”, the festival connects Massachusetts and New England eaters of all backgrounds with the abundance of fresh, nutritious local food choices available close to home

Barbeque & Blues Event is back!!! Offering an incredible selection of traditional Southern BBQ favorites and sides, themed cocktails, live music and craft beer. 

This is an outdoor cocktail style event. Visit our food stations, enjoy our live music, sip some beverages and play lawn games!

This is not a 'lawn-chair' type of party. We want you to move around the event and make friends and enjoy our event space.

The $30 admission includes parking, food, and entertainment. There are no partial refunds and no refunds after 8/16/18.

Take a trip to Latin America at The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market! We're taking traditional recipes from Mexico and Guatemala and giving them a seasonal and local twist. In this lively, hands-on cooking class you’ll learn how to utilize the produce and products of the farmers and artisans of the Boston Public Market to create innovative versions of traditional Latin cuisines. Guided by Chef Ricardo, you’ll create an exciting multi-course meal based on seasonal, local food, and increase your comfort in the kitchen through new knife skills, techniques, and flavor profiles.

Come ready to roll up your sleeves and get cooking! The majority of ingredients for the day’s cooking and baking will be straight from The Boston Public Market, proving you can buy local, eat local and still achieve international flavors.
