Join Slow Food enthusiasts at Eataly Boston and eat-shop-learn with a local twist!

5:30-6:00 pm*

Take a guided tour of Eataly’s market led by a senior staff member. You will meet everyone from the butcher and the baker to the cheesemaker. Taste traditional Italian foods made fresh in-house using local ingredients alongside specialty foods from New England vendors. *(limited to first 15 guests)

6:00-6:30 pm

Learn about how native New England grains are making a comeback in restaurant and home kitchens, where to find them, and how to mill flour at home from Maria Speck award-winning cookbook author of Simply Ancient Grains (2016 M.F.K. Fisher Award for Excellence in Culinary Writing), and Ancient Grains for Modern Meals (2012 IACP Julia Child Cookbook Award).

6:30-7:30 pm

We'll assemble knowledge and ingredients- delving into the art of dry vs. fresh pasta with Eataly pastai (pasta-makers) and Melrose-born Seven Hills Pasta Co, learning the story behind traditional shapes and how to make your own at home.

7:30-8:00 pm

Book signing with Maria Speck

8:00-11:00 pm

Stay and shop the market or grab dinner at one of Eataly's counters, caffes, or restaurants.
